THE CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS, YOU MUST READ TO APPROVE THE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION:
Name: The name of the Club is (BEAT) 2. Object of the Club: The object of the club is the provision of facilities and amenities of a club, run on the commercial principles for the purpose of facilitating the social intercourse of the persons connected with the club 3. Club address: The club premises are situated at 48-50 Margaret Street, London. W1W 8SE. 4. The Members of the club are under no financial liability by reason of their Membership of the club save for the annual subscription and food and beverage charges. 5. Membership The club shall consist of Full Members, Director Members and Trade & Associate Members. 6. Every candidate for Membership must be at least 21 years of age. 7. No employee or former employee of the company shall be elected a Member of the club without the consent of the membership Committee. 8. Each Member whatever their category shall in common with all other Members enjoy equal rights and privileges of the club subject to the provisions of these rules and as the Company may from time to time determine. 9. The name and particulars of every candidate applying for membership shall be entered on a form provided by the club. A candidate must supply such further information concerning themselves and their candidature as the committee may request. 10. Each candidate for membership shall be supported by a proposer who shall be a member of the club or sit on the committee. 11. All Membership applications must be received at least 48hrs before the committee is due to consider their application. 12. The election of Members shall be by the Committee, who shall decide by secret ballot if necessary; one vote against a candidate shall exclude. 13. No reason shall be given to any candidate in the event of non election. 14. Upon approval by the Committee the member will be notified that their election is conditional upon them complying with the rules and bye-laws together with the initial Membership Fee being received by the Club. 15. The Membership Fee shall be such an amount as the company shall from time to time determine.
16. The membership of any new Member of the Club will be subject to ratification by the Company. If the company does not ratify such member, they must give notice to him and he shall immediately cease to be a Member and shall not be eligible for reconsideration as a candidate for a period of one year from the date of rejection. 17. The annual subscription for each of the various categories shall be in such amount as determined by the company. 18. A greater period of two weeks will be afforded to the member once renewal is expected before the full current subscription will be amended. After this period the member upon renewal would be expected to pay the annual subscription at the current price. 19. Annual membership once renewed will expire on the same expiry date as the year before regardless of when the renewal was made. 20. Each membership subscription that is charged will include VAT at the appropriate rate. 21. If a Member shall for any reason cease to be a member before the whole of the subscription, then NO REFUND will be given. 22. All members must familiarise themselves with the club code of conduct and abide by it at all times. 23. In the case that a Member fails to comply with the club code of conduct, management reserve the right to remove the member from the building and terminate the membership with immediate effect. Code of conduct for members and guests 1. Members and their guests are required to be attired in a clean and tidy manner when in the Club. 'Smart casual' dress is preferable. Management reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not dressed appropriately. 2. No drunkenness, aggressive language or other misconduct is permitted on the Club premises, any member found behaving in this manner will have their membership terminated with immediate effect 3. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises. 4. Drugs & illegal substances. a/ non-prescription drugs are not permitted on the premises at any time. The consumption of illegal substances by whatever means is strictly prohibited and any member or guest found in possession of such substances will be ejected and reported to the police. b/ Any member found guilty of consuming or bringing illegal substances onto the premises, or whose guest is found guilty of such acts, will have their membership terminated with immediate effect. c/ Members are prohibited from using the same toilet cubicle as another member/guest. Breach of this rule will result in the removal of the person(s) and immediate termination of any membership(s). 5. All Members on each visit to the Club shall before leaving the Club premises sign off or pay in full all charges incurred by him whether in respect of food, beverages, guests or any other matter or thing. Consistent failure to do so will result in termination of membership. 6. All members booking tables should meet their pre-agreed minimum spends. Consistent failure to do so will result in the member no longer being able to book tables. 7. No Member shall remove or damage or destroy any picture, item of furniture or other article being the property of the Company. 8. In the event that a Member or guest of a Member causes damage to or destruction of any such property then such member shall be fully responsible for making good all loss suffered by the Club or Company as a result of such damage or destruction.
9. A member may bring guests to the club in a mixed group: 2 guests in a mixed group on Friday/ Saturday 02.30am-6.00am Any member with a booked table must arrive before 3.45am. The management reserve the right to resell any table not occupied by this time. 10. No Member, guest or other may enter the building once the club has reached its capacity of 250 people. 11. No Member shall use the name or address or logo of the Club in any advertisement, prospectus or letter heading for business purposes save with the written approval of the Company. 12. No Member shall use the name or address of the Club in any correspondence or article, which is intended for publication without the written approval of the Secretary. 13. Conduct of guests a/ Members introducing guests are wholly responsible for the conduct of such guests: members must ensure that their guests abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Club. b/ A Member introducing guests will be responsible for ensuring full and prompt payment of all items consumed by his/her guests. c/ Guests may not remain in the Club once the sponsoring Member has left. 14. Members' property entrusted by a Member or his guest to a member of club staff for safe custody or for any other purpose, or left on the Club's premises, shall be at the Member's own risk; and the Company or Club shall not be liable for any loss of, or damage to, such property or for any consequential loss or damage of any description. 24. Complaints All complaints shall be made in writing to the Membership Manager. A member shall not personally reprimand a member of Club staff 25. Disputes Any dispute or difference which may arise as to the meaning or interpretation of these Rules or as to the powers of the officers must be determined by the Company, whose decision is final and binding on all Members of the Club. 26. Dissolution In the event of a dissolution of the Company or Club, Members shall not have any right to, or claim upon, any property of the Company or Club, or be required to share in any discharge of its obligations. 27. Interpretation In these Rules: a) The headings are for ease of reference only and are not to be taken into account in their interpretation. b) In these Rules the masculine shall include the feminine and the singular the plural and vice versa except where the context so requires. (c) If any rule shall fail in law then it shall not mean that any other rules shall fail unless so prescribed by the courts.
